Birchwood has been doing an amazing job at leading the camp while SUPY is away. They performed their traditional show and lead us in a campfire. They definitely exhibit wonderful leadership skills and we know when it is their turn next year to lead the camp for real they will be awesome! To better inform you here is an update from our Senior group leader!
What a fabulous Raquette Lake opening. SUPY led the camp at the opening campfire exhibiting their leadership abilities with grace and charm. We had a great week working on the senior show with the boys from across the lake. An amazing performance of “Anything Goes” was enjoyed by both camps. BIRCH & SUPY are in full swing enjoying all the activities Raquette has to offer. Our July 4th celebration ( which was held on Sat July 2nd) on boys camp was so much fun. Everyone was dressed up in red/white/blue and after the barbecue they played games, danced, and were amazed by our own fireworks show. This week I will be escorting the SUPY girls on their trip. While we are away Birch will be leading the camp with a campfire, a show, and singing an Alma Mater all written by them! More to follow- there is nothing like a Raquette summer!- Gayle
