Brother Sister Lunch & Group Leader/ Activity Updates

Another amazing Saturday at RLGC. We had a brother sister lunch filled with a ton of laughter, smiles, and grilled cheese & french fries!!! Today is The Inman Island Swim so we will update you tomorrow on how many of our campers completed!

Here are some updates from group leaders & activity heads!

After a great visiting day filled with love and treats The girls were back in action into their cleats! They got ready for a softball inter camp at Echo Lake. They tried their hardest to win a trophy to take! A few laps a day for the Inman Island swim Hoping the water will stay warm so they will get right in.- Gena (Upper Juniors)

Can you believe Visiting Day has come and gone! What a treat seeing all of you. A perfect day. The SUPY/Aides dinner was fabulous and I thank you all again for a great evening. The Birchwood girls are back from their Saranac trip. The professional Adirondack St. Regis wilderness experts prepared our girls for this four day journey. The girls were so excited and got off safely. When they returned we had The Saranac campfire and loved hearing all about their adventures. – Gayle

Canoe- Mary & Killie
We are so proud of the Birchwood girls for completing the Saranac Trip. The Canoe, Kayak and Paddle Board program is focused on kayak activities this week. The campers are practicing kayak racing in preparation for team week within their own bunk and age group!

Raquette Adventure-
In Raquette Adventure (ropes course) we definitely challenge the campers while at the same time give them an opportunity to bond, and support each other. They also have an opportunity to help new campers to integrate into existing groups and improve group dynamics using low elements.
We encourage the campers to set goals using cargo net, dangle duo and the traverse wall. We also encourage them to challenge their fears using the following elements: bottomless burma bridge, two wire bridge, and leap of faith. This week will focus on teaching campers knot craft and we will teach the upper campers how to belay each other with the support of ropes course facilitators.- Thozi
