Last night was the girls 4 week sing. It was a beautiful night as the girls performed an Alma from 1969, and our camp Alma “Pine Trees.” We also had a camper lead a song that her mom sang in 1980, and Birchwood sang Silent Hills from 1977.
Osprey and Pine won for Frosh, Strongheart for Sophs, and Birchwood and Tamaracks tied for upper camp.
Update from Tennis:
In week 4, RLGC tennis is still going strong. After weeks of skill development, the girls are using what they’ve learned and competing in our camp ladder. There has been a lot of movement so far, and it will be exciting to find out who finishes in the top spot in each age group. In other news, RLGC’s first Junior/Senior Doubles tournament is about to kick off.
Lastly, a congratulations to all the girls who competed in the Point O’Pines tennis intercamp. In our 10 and under divison, we had an all-Raquette Lake final. In a great battle that displayed top-notch sportsmanship. And of course, no intercamp is complete without a well-deserved ice-cream run at Stewarts. A very successful day of tennis for our girls! Stay tuned for more!
