A Beautiful Day The Raquette Way

Sunny Blue Skies, Crystal Blue Lake! It was another gorgeous day at Raquette Lake Girls Camp. The girls were busy at all activities from basketball, to dance, to tennis, and arts & crafts. They did not miss a beat. Of course they loved the waterfront on such a nice day. We have new inflatable paddle boards this summer which can fit 10 girls. They have been having a blast on them!

The girls are practicing for the big swim meet coming up that RLGC will host. Other camps from the area will join us at camp to compete!

At soccer campers are playing fun games, such as Doctor, Doctor, 4 Goals, 5-in-a-row, Color Cones, World Cup, etc. All theses games help them improve their dribbling skills, defense/attack, shooting, accuracy and most important….communication and team work! At the end of each practice they have a free play or scrimmage.

We want more s’mores! The lower sophomores enjoyed a campfire with Eddie.

Evening activity was sing practice. Our SUPY girls went into the younger bunks and taught them songs to prepare for our mini sing coming up in 2 weeks. What is so special is that a lot of our 2nd and 3rd generation campers are learning songs that their family members once sang at Raquette!
