Another fun day at camp doing what the girls love! CAMP!
Here is more information from Maya at Dance! This week we had two incredible performances by the past two weeks of electives. Three girls from Duck Bay learned a short jazz/contemporary dance to “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish, while the select dancers from Supy performed a beautiful contemporary piece to “Rise Up” by Andra Day. Both groups learned their dances in under three days and showed an incredible amount of commitment and passion for dance! All bunks are continuing to learn their individual dances that they will perform before Flagpole by the end of the summer!
This week’s elective consists of nearly 40 dancers from both the Freshman and Sophomore age groups. They are learning a fun and easy dance with sections for the more experienced dancers to show off their technique.
This week in sail we have had many girls pass their skipper tests with flying colors, meaning that they can now sail independently or with friends. Our freshman have been learning to tackle arriving and leaving a dock in calm wind and identifying wind direction when out on the lake.
The upper sophs are busy in the Raquette Lake Playhouse preparing for their big debut of FROZEN!
The juniors had a social at boys camp, the seniors had a social at girls camp. The upper frosh made their way to pioneering for a bbq cookout dinner and sleep over!
The lower frosh and sophs enjoyed hobby night!
