A gorgeous day with the lake glistening, the girls enjoyed their activities all around camp. Tomorrow is trip day and we can’t wait to tell you all about it! The sophomores are singing and dancing their hearts out in the Raquette Lake playhouse! The juniors had a tennis social on girls camp and the seniors had a canteen social on boys camp for evening activity. The rest of camp had hobby night and the waterfront was very popular!
Basketball has been having fun playing musical spots- the girls dribble around spots on the floor and when the music stops, they have to go to a spot, one camper will get out, until we have a champion! Another exciting game for the girls is playing moneyball and crazy hoops. The winners get raquette bucks or bracelets depending on what they choose.
At arts and crafts, the girls have been making beautiful, amazing creations. We are so excited for you to see on visiting day. Just to name a few, macrame and clay mirrors, sand jars, pencil cases. In ceramics the girls are making mugs, vases, and key chains. Last but not least bracelets to keep adding to their camp wrists!
At Tennis the girls went on a 10u 9u and 8u Intercamp to Echo Lake. RLGC made it to the semis in some of the brackets!
What’s going on in swim at the moment- The upper juniors and seniors ware working on swimming their laps for Inman island, learning waterpolo skills and partaking in games and going on the rave in free swim.
With the other groups we have 3/4 days of teaching lessons. They lesson takes up about 30 mins and then they are allowed free swim including the rave which is s much fun. Each bunk was skill tested and then were assigned to different stroke development levels and work on each of the check lists in small groups.
