After Saturday’s family hobby night, campers and staff rested well on Lazy Sunday! Sleeping in and heading to the dining hall in pajamas, the girls enjoyed a relaxed breakfast with omelets of their choice, eggs, bagels, cereal, and more! For lunch, the kitchen staff served chicken tenders, corn, and rice. Along with our famous salad bar, the girls absolutely loved this meal. For dinner, we had a quiet dinner prior to the four-week sing and the girls enjoyed spaghetti, meatballs, and garlic bread!

At Flagpole, three bunks were awarded with this week’s bunk of the week! The winners of this week are Raquette, Adirondack, and Tamarack! Congrats to these bunks on their superb cleanliness and organization. And a special shout out to Adirondack for winning bunk of the week twice this summer!

For evening activity, campers lined up on Placid field by bunk and marched into the arena for the four-week sing. This cherished Raquette tradition includes an alma mater sung by each bunk and taught by their SUPY sing leaders. Along with that, SUPY starts the night by singing their SUPY 2023 march and ends the night with their alma mater. SUPY has been working extremely hard on not only crafting their own songs but also teaching the songs of the past to every camper in every bunk.

The four-week sing is our last sing prior to the final sing at the end of team week, therefore, it is a judged event. The winners of last night’s sing were Osprey & Maple (tie), Duck Bay, and Strongheart! Congrats to these bunks on their beautiful alma maters and for keeping the traditions of Raquette alive.

Although the four-week sing marks the near end of camp, we are excited for more events and activities to continue as we move into another week at camp!
