Today was filled with sunshine and excitement as our campers enjoyed a variety of activities. The girls skied, canoed, played soccer, and did gymnastics. Others swam, played tennis, sailed, did ceramics, played basketball and volleyball, while some enjoyed horseback riding. It was a day filled with laughter and fun.
At Raquette’s arts and crafts area, creativity is blooming with a variety of activities. The most popular projects have been making friendship bracelets, with campers intricately weaving beads and colorful threads. The introduction of decorated mirror crafting using air-dry clay has sparked a wave of enthusiasm, as participants shape and mold their unique designs. In the swimming area, we are proud to announce that all bunks have successfully passed the blue cap test. For those who didn’t pass initially, they have been working in small groups with lifeguards to improve their skills and stamina, aiming to pass the test soon. Those who have passed the blue cap test have engaged in interactive dock safety talks to ensure they understand how to stay safe near water. They’ve also been enjoying the new aqua-glide inflatables, swimming laps, and playing at the beach area, with instructional swim set to start in the next couple of days.
At night, the oldest girls had their first socials with the boys camp, and our lower camp got to participate in a hobby night. It’s was a fantastic day full of achievements, creativity, and fun, setting the stage for many more wonderful days to come.
