What a whirlwind of fun here at Raquette Lake Girls Camp! The excitement kicked off with our much-anticipated Counselor Hunt, where campers scoured camp looking for their counselors—who were cleverly hidden and each worth a different amount of Raquette Bucks! The ultimate prize? Finding Gene, worth a whopping $10,000 Raquette Bucks! Group Leaders were also high-value targets, bringing in $5,000 Raquette Bucks for the lucky campers who found them first. The competition was fierce and full of laughter—definitely one for the books!
Meanwhile, Birchwood has been hard at work preparing for the Birchwood Show and Campfire that happened. They even wrote their own original song, and we can’t wait to see them perform it with heart and camp spirit during the evening’s festivities.
Another highlight this week was our special Camp Sister Dinner, where our girls enjoyed quality time with their camp sisters—sharing stories, laughs, and of course, lots of dessert.
And let’s not forget about our amazing SUPY trip! The girls just returned from an unforgettable adventure to Burlington, VT and Lake Placid, filled with bonding, thrills, and sweet treats. They zipped through the treetops on a ziplining course, cracked the codes of an escape room, and indulged in goodies at the Ben & Jerry’s Factory Tour and Lake Champlain Chocolates. With evenings filled with sushi, hibachi, and cozy Italian dinners—not to mention spontaneous singing sessions—this trip was one to remember!
