The sun rose over Raquette Lake as Color War kicked off with full energy and determination. After a crisp morning reveille and lineup, the boys fueled up with a hearty breakfast, ready to take on another action-packed day of competition.
The Frosh wasted no time hitting the fields, with fierce battles in A and B Flag Football during the morning. The Sophomores brought the heat to the diamond, trading innings in A and B Baseball. On the softball fields, the Juniors swung for the fences, while the Seniors went all out in A and B Ultimate Frisbee.
After a quick rest hour, all divisions gathered for spirited Song & Cheer practice, perfecting every verse and chant to bring the noise for their teams.
The afternoon delivered a mix of strategy and skill. The Frosh took to the tennis courts before heading to Archery and cheering on the Senior Flag Football showdown. The Sophs fought hard in A & C Basketball, while the Juniors and Seniors brought their best to the pitch for A Soccer (11v11).
As the day rolled on, the competition only grew more intense. Frosh wrapped up with Archery and a front-row seat to Senior games, the Sophs clashed in B & D Basketball, Juniors battled in B Soccer (9v9), and the Seniors returned to the fields for A/B/C Flag Football.
Before the night’s grand finale, camp came together for a Silent Dinner—a tradition that adds both tension and excitement to the evening. No words were spoken, but the energy in the room was electric as campers’ eyes darted around, everyone anticipating the legendary relay ahead. The winners were the Green team. Great job on being extra quite.
The day ended with the unforgettable Apache Relay, where every camper and counselor played their part in a thrilling, camp-wide race across land and water. Cheers erupted as teams pushed through every leg of the event, leaving it all out there for Color War glory. The Green team won the Apache Relay.
