COLOR WAR DAY 2!

Friday, August 1st brought another jam-packed day of competition, spirit, and sportsmanship here at Raquette Lake Boys Camp as Color War charged into its second full day.

The morning kicked off bright and early with our Upper Camp Ski Meet, showcasing incredible skill and fearless determination on the water. From there, the action spread across camp — the Frosh and Sophs made waves in the Swim Meet, while the Juniors and Seniors hit the courts for intense basketball matchups. The Counselors kept the energy high with spirited soccer play and coaching support.

After some fast-paced Water Relays, Kickball, and more hoops, everyone gathered for Song & Cheer Practice, perfecting their chants and harmonies for the big events still to come.

The afternoon brought a mix of land and water challenges: Baseball, One-Bump Newcomb, Ultimate, Water Polo, and even a thrilling Surfing/Wake-Skate Competition for the Juniors and Seniors. The competition was fierce, but the camaraderie and teamwork shined even brighter. After dinner it was a very close game: White 778, Green: 712

As the sun dipped lower, the entire camp made its way to the beach for one of Color War’s most electrifying traditions — Rope Burn. Worth 50 points, with the crowd roaring, each team worked together to ignite their rope, creating a fiery finish to an unforgettable day. Both fires were impressive but with an early light the white team burned first!!

At the end of day 2: White: 839 Green: 716

With momentum building and every point counting, Color War is still anyone’s game. Tomorrow promises more action, more spirit, and more memories in the making.
