COLOR WAR SING 2025

The boys knew they were heading into one of the most anticipated nights of the summer, Color war sing, but first, there was a full day of competition to tackle.

The morning started with War Canoe, an event steeped in tradition and intensity, as campers lined the waterfront to cheer on their teams. From there, the action shifted to courts, fields, and the water — Newcomb, Baseball, Tennis, Gaga, Water Polo, Ultimate, and Basketball — each game played with the fierce energy that only Color War can bring. In the afternoon, Song & Cheer practice filled the air with the sound of harmonies, clapping, and team spirit. The boys knew that the evening’s performances could swing the entire war.

When night fell, the indoor arena transformed into a stage for Sing Night, a true camp tradition. The categories were scored as follows: Entrance – White: 20.75 | Green: 19.25 – White won, New Fight Song – Green: 21 | White: 19 – Green won, Old Beauty – Green: 22 | White: 18 – Green won, and New Beauty – White: 21.75 | Green: 18.25 – White won

With 40 points awarded for each category plus a 50-point bonus to the overall Sing winner, it all came down to the totals. In the closest finish in recent memory, the Green Team edged out White by a single point — 80.5 to 79.5!

But the night wasn’t over. After Sing, everyone gathered under the lights for Senior A Basketball, the court lit up by both the spotlights and the electric energy of the crowd. This is the kind of camp moment that lives in Raquette Lake history — the blend of fierce competition, tradition, and community all in one perfect summer night. The green team conquered the court.

Going into the last day of color war with tug o war and track meets it is still anyone’s war!
