What a day at Raquette Lake Boys Camp! Day 3 of Color War brought nonstop action, spirit, and teamwork from sunrise to lights out.
The morning kicked off bright and early with the Lower Camp Ski Meet, setting the tone for a competitive and exciting day. The Frosh started with boating before diving into team practices and cheering, while the Sophs battled it out on the soccer fields. Juniors brought the energy to the FFB field, and the Seniors hit the diamond for Baseball. Counselors got in on the action too, showing off their skills in hoops before leading coaching and cheering sessions.
After a spirited Song & Cheer & Sail Regatta during rest hour, the afternoon was jam-packed: Frosh took to the hoops courts and then softball, Sophs powered through FFB, Juniors split their time between volleyball and water polo, and Seniors wrapped up tennis before heading into more coaching and cheering. Counselors kept the competition alive with hoops.
Dinner was a lovely BBQ on the beach, the green and white joined together, with beautiful weather. Seniors capped their night with College Bowl after taps.
But the real surprise came after lights out… The Freshman boys were treated to a secret late-night adventure with Josh, Jay, and Tara. Under the sparkling Adirondack stars, they shared cookies and milk, told stories, and enjoyed the quiet magic of camp after dark — a memory that will stick with them.
The scores at the end of the day: White: 1143.5 Green: 1085.5
Going into day 4, the competition is fierce, the spirit is high, and the bonds between teammates are stronger than ever. Tomorrow, the race to the finish continues!
