Guinness Records Day 2025!

On a sunny afternoon at Raquette Lake Boys Camp, campers turned into world-class contenders as we hosted one of the most spirited traditions of the summer — Guinness Records Day 2025! Inspired by the iconic Guinness Book of World Records, this camp favorite was packed with friendly competition, outrageous stunts, and non-stop action as boys across all four divisions competed to etch their names in Raquette Lake history.

Armed with participant cards and boundless energy, campers chose from a wide array of record-breaking challenges — from classic camp activities to some hilarious and unconventional feats.

Over on the baseball field, it was all speed and spins with campers dashing around the bases and racking up dizzy-bat twirls. At the basketball courts, precision reigned supreme — whether it was hitting the most 3-pointers in a minute, draining free throws, or seeing how long they could keep their lay-up streak alive.

Campers with a steady hand and quick feet found their glory at the Halsband Arena, where they attempted to sort 52 playing cards in record time or balance a glass of water and plate on their heads for the farthest walk. Meanwhile, the Social Hall became the arena for some truly creative records — longest tissue blow, tallest plate stack, and fastest shirt folder!

The main field was buzzing with energy — literally — as boys raced through 40-yard dashes, hula-hooped endlessly, and pushed their strength with sit-ups, pushups, and one-legged balancing acts.

The waterfront brought the splash factor, with intense swimming and kayaking races and an all-out jumping frenzy on the Rave trampoline. And let’s not forget the tennis courts, archery range, soccer field, and even ping pong — every inch of camp was alive with record-chasing excitement.

The afternoon concluded with a thrilling Waterfront-to-Ropes Race, a heart-pounding dash across two of camp’s most iconic locations. Cheers rang out as divisions wrapped up their final events and handed in their cards, their accomplishments now etched into the official Raquette Lake Book of World Records.

More than the medals or the titles, Guinness Records Day was a celebration of creativity, effort, and pure camp fun. Every camper walked away with pride — whether they set a new record or just tried something new. Here’s to pushing limits, laughing hard, and making memories that last a lifetime!
