Team Week is officially underway, and Day 1 set the tone with nonstop energy, fierce competition, and epic camp spirit! From early morning wake-ups to the final notes of Sing Practice, every camper gave it their all proving why this week is one of the most exciting traditions at camp. Campers rose with the sun, dressed in their Blue and White, ready to take on the day. After a lively breakfast and morning team meetings, it was straight into the action. Each bunk competed in classic camp challenges, where teamwork, strategy, and spirit mattered just as much as skill. Morning Events Included:Gaga in the Arena – Fast-paced and full of surprises! Kickball Showdowns on the Softball Field, Kayaking Relays at the Canoe Area. A high-energy Obstacle Course in Gymnastics. Soccer Matches and strategic bunk planning sessions. Even the counselors got in on the fun with volleyball competitions — proving that Team Week is for everyone!The momentum continued in the afternoon as teams rotated through another round of events. Whether campers were spiking volleyballs, racing through relays, or showing off their tennis skills, the sportsmanship and spirit were unmatched. Highlights from the Afternoon:Newcomb and Tennis Battles on the courts Intense Basketball Games and soccer rematches A challenging Obstacle Course round 2Kayaking, Gaga, and even Counselor Basketball! And let’s not forget the energy from our bunks who dominated the day’s top-point events — every match brought new chances to earn big for their team! After a well-deserved shower hour and dinner, the entire camp shifted gears to prepare for one of the week’s most iconic traditions: Sing. The Blue Team filled the Arena while the White Team harmonized in the Social Hall, each team working tirelessly to perfect their songs for the grand finale. Meanwhile, TamarOn gathered in Arts & Crafts and Birchwood lit up the Dance Studio with creativity and movement. Each event contributed to the running tally, and with Day 1 in the books, the leaderboard is starting to take shape. It’s still anyone’s game — and if today showed us anything, it’s that both teams came ready to win. End of day totals: Blue 317.50, White 327.50.
