There is nothing quite like celebrating the Fourth of July at Raquette Lake Camps, and this year’s celebration was one special because it is our 110th summer on the 250th anniversary of the USA!
The boys made their way over to Girls Camp for an unforgettable evening, bringing both camps together for one of our favorite traditions of the summer. Seeing campers reconnect with friends, meet new people, and celebrate together made the night even more special.
The festivities kicked off featuring games, activities, and booths spread throughout camp. Everywhere you looked, campers were laughing, competing, and collecting prizes as they made their way from booth to booth. There was something exciting around every corner!
After all the fun and games, everyone gathered to enjoy an amazing dessert buffet filled with sweet treats that quickly became a camper favorite. It was the perfect way to refuel before the night’s biggest celebration.
Next came the dance party! DJ Jeff had everyone on their feet from the very first song, filling placid field with campers and staff from both camps dancing, singing, and making memories together. The energy was contagious, and the smiles never stopped.
Throughout the evening, campers had the chance to win incredible raffle prizes, including cozy slippers, fun onesies, giant inflatables, and so much more. Every prize announcement brought cheers from the crowd, making the excitement even bigger.
To top off an already unforgettable evening, everyone gathered together to watch a spectacular fireworks show light up the Adirondack sky. It was the perfect ending to a celebration filled with friendship, laughter, and camp spirit.
Bringing both camps together for an evening like this is one of the things that makes Raquette Lake Camps so special. From the games and dessert buffet to the dance party, amazing prizes, and breathtaking fireworks, the Fourth of July reminded us why summers here create memories that last a lifetime.
