Brother/Sister Lunch was one of those special camp traditions that everyone looks forward to. Campers with siblings at the other camp had the chance to spend time together, share a meal, catch up on their week, and make a few more summer memories before heading back to their busy schedules.
Bunk of the week hey!!! The girls kept their bunks super clean and it was a close competition but this weeks winners were Maple, Cedar Island, and Birchwood!
Evening activity was an oldie but goodie that was brought back for the first time in 15 years.
There was gold hidden all over Girls Camp, and our campers were ready for the challenge!
As the evening began, bunks set off together on an exciting Gold Rush adventure, searching high and low for gold rocks scattered throughout camp. Every rock collected helped fill their bunk’s bucket, with each full bucket earning valuable points.
But finding gold wasn’t the only way to score. Hidden around camp were our “WANTED” staff members, cleverly disguised and doing their best to avoid detection. Spotting one of these elusive outlaws earned bunks even more bonus points and added another layer of excitement to the hunt.
The biggest challenge? Protecting the designated camper carrying each bunk’s bag of gold! Head staff patrolled camp with water guns, looking to catch unsuspecting treasure carriers. If the gold carrier was hit, the bunk had to surrender their hard-earned treasure, which was then redistributed throughout camp for other bunks to discover. It kept everyone on their toes and made teamwork more important than ever.
With strategy, speed, and plenty of laughter, campers raced around camp cheering each other on until the final whistle. At the end of the night, the bunk with the highest point total earned a well-deserved stash of Raquette Bucks—and, of course, some serious bragging rights!
