One of the most anticipated traditions of the summer returned to Raquette Lake Boys Camp as campers spent the afternoon chasing greatness during our annual Guinness Records Day! From the moment the first whistle blew, boys from every division spread across camp with one goal in mind: challenge themselves, have fun, and earn a place in the Raquette Lake record book.
Every corner of camp was transformed into a different record-breaking station, giving campers the chance to test their speed, strength, balance, coordination, and determination. Armed with their record cards, the boys traveled from event to event, taking on as many challenges as they could before time ran out.
The athletic fields were full of excitement as campers raced around the bases, sprinted the 40-yard dash, tested their endurance with push-ups and sit-ups, and competed in basketball shooting challenges. Nearby, the soccer field, tennis courts, archery range, and ping pong area were just as busy, with campers eager to see if they could outperform the previous record holders.
At the waterfront, the competition continued with swimming races, kayaking events, and plenty of high-flying action on the Rave trampoline. Inside the Social Hall, the challenges became just as entertaining, with campers attempting everything from lightning-fast shirt folding and card sorting to balancing acts, tissue blowing contests, and towering plate stacks that had everyone cheering.
The excitement built throughout the afternoon until it all came down to one final challenge—the always-thrilling Waterfront to Ropes Race. Campers gave it everything they had as teammates lined the course, cheering each other across the finish line and celebrating every accomplishment along the way.
By the end of the day, new camp records had been set, old ones had been challenged, and countless memories had been made.
