Sundays at Boys Camp have a special kind of magic.
After a busy and action-packed first week and July 4th celebration, everyone enjoyed a well-earned lazy morning. The boys rolled into the dining hall ready for one of the best breakfasts of the summer. There were warm cinnamon rolls, fresh donuts, bagels with all the fixings, and the always-popular made-to-order omelet station. Our chefs kept the skillets busy all morning, serving up custom omelets that definitely lived up to the hype!
During breakfast, the TVs were tuned to sports, creating the perfect relaxed Sunday atmosphere. Friends gathered around the tables, talking about the games, laughing together, and enjoying a slower pace before another exciting week at camp.
At flagpole we took a moment to recognize our Bunks of the Week for keeping their cabins exceptionally clean and organized. Congratulations to Gore B and Hudson! We are so proud of these campers for their teamwork, responsibility, and camp pride. Keep up the great work!
The fun continued throughout the day with activities all over camp, but our sophomore boys had a special adventure! We surprised them at lunch and they headed into town to catch Toy Story 5, followed by a pizza dinner together. It was the perfect chance to relax with friends, enjoy a great movie, and make even more summer memories.
As the sun began to set, the entire camp came together for one of our favorite traditions—a Sunday evening campfire hosted by the AIDES. Campers and counselors gathered around the fire for songs, laughter, and stories, ending the day the best way we know how: together as one camp family.
A great breakfast, a fun-filled day, a movie night for our sophomores, and a campfire under the Adirondack sky… it doesn’t get much better than a Sunday at Raquette Lake Boys Camp.
