Update From Sail!

The rain and cool air did not dampen our day. We said goodbye to our senior girls on their trips and Tamaron immediately took charge in leading the camp! Last night the girls enjoyed some sweets as they watched Moana!

Here is an update from the sail dock!

This summer we have seen a surge of interest in sail by campers of all ages from Placid right through Supy. Our girls are very keen to learn specific sailing skills and techniques and we could not be happier! So far, we have had six girls achieve their skipper license, twelve more have achieved their co-skipper licenses, and, with many others currently working towards obtaining their skipper too, the RLGC sail program is thriving. We have been lucky enough to become the proud owners of a ‘Hobie Getaway’ this summer. The new addition to our fleet is a more advanced boat than some of our others which allows those interested in gaining more technical knowledge the opportunity to do so. The larger boat means that we can take eight girls sailing at one time; and, with the extra deck space this boat has, it’s a real hit with the sunbathers amongst us too!
