Jump! Splash! The girls started the day off with completing their blue cap swim tests so they can enjoy all the water activities the lake has to offer. After that it was a full day of tennis, waterski, soccer, arts and crafts, and more galore!
Girls camp held their opening campfire this evening led by Supy. The Supy girls are the oldest age group on camp. They act as role models, and lead the girls camp daily from cheers in the dining hall, to special traditions at evening activities.
What makes Raquette Lake Camps so special is our returning campers and staff every summer. Many campers and counselors were recognized for their time spent at camp throughout the years, and Eddie shared the history of the camp dating all the way back to 1916.
Kim our head counselor also spoke to the girls about the importance of friendship and trying new things this summer. She also pointed out that camp truly is the greatest show on earth! We come together for 7 weeks of every year to make the most impressionable memories that stick with us all for a lifetime!
