Today we attended our second inter-camp of the summer at Point O Pines Camp for grades 8, 9 and 10. The matches were best of 5 games.
Grade 8: we participated in both the singles and doubles. All of our singles and doubles players made it through their first-round matches, then meeting some strong opponents in the next round. We had two girls that made it through to the Semi-Finals!
Grade 9: We had 6 girls participating in the events for 9th grade, spread over singles and doubles. We had a girl take 1st place for Raquette in singles. As for doubles Raquette ended up winning the 1st place after a tiebreaker match.
Grade 10: We had 7 girls playing both singles and doubles. Each girl played hard, making it through against some tough opponents with one of our girl campers taking 2nd place!
Overall, the girls performed their best and showed great discipline and sportsmanship! Well done girls!
We are so excited because younger siblings arrived for our pre-visiting day sibling sleepover. The girls were so excited to show their guests what Raquette is all about!
The upper sophs took over the Raquette Lake Playhouse for their production of The Wiz. Lions, and Tigers, and bears- OH MY! The set and the costumes were truly amazing! Standing ovations could be heard across the lake and all of their hard work definitely paid off!
