We saluted the flag on Raquette Lake Boys Camp but our big 4th of July celebration will actually take place on Saturday with girls camp. We can’t wait to tell you all about it!
Lights! Costumes! Excitement! Action! Music! Laughter! …It’s time to announce another premiere of another original boys’ camp play! This summer it’s Justice League of America, written by our theater director, based upon the popular DC comic book characters. Heroic members of the JLA will unite once again to stop a band of villains from creating havoc.
The campers who sign up for the Theater elective will work together, learning lines and song lyrics and some fancy moves designed to save the day. There’s also a moral to the story (as usual) meant to highlight the benefits of teamwork, friendship and creative problem solving.
This year, our play will be performed for the entire boys’ camp on the evening of July 18. It’s always a pleasure to watch our cast and crew collaborating successfully and taking a well-deserved bow.
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to B House and T10 for keeping their bunks extra clean and winning BUNK OF THE WEEK!
Evening activity was intercollegiate night. The age groups are broken into teams and they play different sports around camp against one another. The boys were in good spirits and showed great sportsmanship!
