We wish we could slow down time at girls camp as another week goes by so fast!
Congratulations to our super clean, super organized, girls who won bunk of the week! Saranac, Sagamore, and Osprey. Another bracelet added to their camp wrists.
Our Hula girls took over Tuesday night for Luau. Looking so gorgeous in their leis, hula skirts, and floral dresses, they enjoyed dinner and games in the arena!
Birchwood did an amazing job at leading the camp while SUPY was away. Wednesday evening they lead us in a campfire. They definitely exhibited wonderful leadership skills and we know when it is their turn next year to lead the camp for real they will be awesome!
The campers are getting creative in arts & crafts and ceramics. They are busy using the kiln making coffee mugs that look like they could be sold in stores! They are also creating pom pom keychains that are colorful and gorgeous!
At tennis the girls are causing a Racket. They are busy working on their skills, participating in a tournament, and actively climbing the ladder.
At canoe the girls are taking canoe trips to Inman Island. They are also practicing tip tests by throwing tennis balls back and forth.
The girls had a fun filled trip day this week!
The frosh made a splash and had a blast at the enchanted forest. With over 50 rides to choose from they did not know where to start!
The sophs had the best day ever seeing Minions the rise of gru and eating delicious tony harpers pizza!
The Lower juniors spent the day at the boys camp pioneering site. They played water games, BBQed a delicious dinner, and really loved the campfire stories and especially the s’mores!
The Upper Juniors had so much fun on Carrie’s Adventure. A top secret tradition that only the girls can know about and cherish forever!
The birchwood girls enjoyed yummy pizza and were preparing for their show and campfire!
Supy took a trip to Saratoga Springs and Lake George! On the first day, they started at Six Flags Great Escape where the girls rode roller coasters and played carnival games. After a fun morning, they headed into Saratoga Springs so the girls could walk around the historic downtown for shopping and sightseeing. They enjoyed a sushi dinner and ended the day with bowling and arcade games at Saratoga Strike Zone! The second day, Supy hit the beach, followed by lunch at a lakeside restaurant—the hot honey chicken sandwich was a favorite! After lunch, Supy took a tour at the Tang Art Museum at Skidmore College, where they saw and interacted with some beautiful exhibits. The day ended at the Aviation Mall for a movie (Lightyear) and dinner. The trip allowed the Supy girls to spend some time bonding outside of camp, helping them form even stronger friendships and lasting memories.
Sunday morning was our favorite- LAZY BREAKFAST! We made our way out of bed to enjoy delicious omelettes, donuts, and bagels in our pajamas!!
We have our first mini sing where the girl’s will perform songs and could you believe the oldest song is from the 1960s, almost 60 years ago through 2013!
Check back in next week for more exciting updates!
