For most of the day the weather was warm and welcoming for our boys! They jumped right into schedule and were busy at the water front completing their swim tests. It is like they never left. It was so much fun watching all the activities, the energy was contagious. The campers and staff were engaged in learning new skills and making new friendships. The waterfront was filled with sail boats, ski boats, galore.
Last night was the opening campfire one of our greatest traditions. Did you know this is our 107th season? The Aides had elections and presented the camp with their president. Another one of our greatest traditions and honors is our jacket ceremony where we recognize and award the many boys who have been campers with us for 5 years and 8 years. We also awarded returning staff with 3 year, 15 year, and 25 year, and could you believe it 40 year jackets! What a truly amazing milestone, we are so lucky to have staff that have been part of our camp family for so long and can continue to make camp the special place it is.
The seniors began the auditions for the senior show with the girls camp. This year they will be performing Zombies which will take the stage on Friday. We are sooooo excited!
