Alumni Day 2023 was one to remember! Aside from the beautiful weather we welcomed close to 200 alumni to camp yesterday. As they filled the camps with their joy and nostalgia, they spent the day roaming camp and reminiscing on their days as campers. The picture-perfect weather made yesterday’s grilled cheese lunch even better as the alumni ate lunch outside with some old friends. After lunch, SUPY led songs and cheers with all the alumni and current campers on SUPY Hill. The AIDES led a chant in the dining hall where all boys alumni piled in and then made it up to the fields for a game of one inning softball. They loved sporting their alumni hats.
After an amazing day, the alumni then said goodbye to Raquette and their friends after grabbing some ice cream from TP. The spirit of the alumni surely brightened up camp and reminded our current campers of the great history they contribute to every day. Thank you to all the alumni that came yesterday! We hope the beauty and magic of Raquette were all that you remember and more.
For evening activity, the boys and girls camp came together for a family hobby night! After the campers finished their pig-night dinner, girl campers and staff loaded up the boats and headed to boys camp. With activities from archery to basketball to corn hole, the campers enjoyed every minute spent with their friends and family from across the lake. They even opened up Eddie’s campfire site for some s’mores which was surely a camper favorite.
