Yesterday was absolutely picture perfect day for every part of camp!
The boys stayed active at the waterfront and on the hill. We hosted a baseball doubleheader for eighth and ninth grade campers against Echo Lake, and won both of those games. So proud of our boys!
Last night was pioneering night for the lower freshman. They enjoyed swimming and a campfire with Eddie, including s’mores. It was a night to remember!
For the rest of the camp, evening activity was the counselor hunt. The boys went all around camp to try to find counselors and head staff to win Raquette Bucks. The hardest part was that the counselor that was worth the most was hiding in a ghillie suit. The boys took home anywhere from 100-10,000 bucks!!
Update From Archery:
As an Archery Instructor at our camp, my primary responsibility is to teach campers the fundamentals of archery in a safe, engaging, and fun environment. I conduct safety briefings before each session and supervise campers closely while they are on the range, emphasizing the importance of proper stance, grip, aiming, and shooting techniques. My role includes fostering a supportive and positive environment where campers of all skill levels feel comfortable and encouraged to improve.
I develop and lead archery games and activities to make learning fun and interactive, providing individual feedback and coaching to help campers enhance their skills. I also assist in the development and enhancement of the archery program, creating lesson plans and activities that cater to different age groups and skill levels. I collaborate with other camp staff to integrate archery with other camp activities and events.
Overall, as an archery instructor, I play a crucial role in helping campers develop new skills, build confidence, and enjoy the sport of archery in a safe and structured environment. My enthusiasm, expertise, and dedication are key to creating memorable and rewarding experiences for all participants.
