June 22, 2024- Today was a day full of smiles, laughter, and excitement as we welcomed our wonderful campers new and returning to Raquette Lake Girls Camp! The air buzzed with enthusiasm as girls arrived, eager to dive into the cherished traditions that make our camp so special. Each camper was greeted with open arms by our counselors and staff, who couldn’t wait to welcome them into our summer family.
The excitement was palpable as campers met their bunkmates and counselors for the first time. New friendships began to blossom as they explored their cozy cabins, decorated with care to make everyone feel at home.
The girls went into the dining hall for dinner to enjoy delicious spaghetti and meatballs. The cheers and songs started right away!
After dinner laughter echoed through the camp and even across the lake, as the girls toured the camp. After the tour, it was time for a sweet treat! Everyone gathered for ice cream, getting to know one another better. As the sun set, the girls settled into their new homes for the summer.
The best thing we heard all day was the girls saying they could not wait to wake up and see the dancing diamonds on the lake!
Back together again, we are so lucky!
