Today’s trip day was filled with excitement as campers from all age groups ventured out to explore the iconic Raquette Lake area. The freshmen spent their day immersed in preparations for tonight’s grand production of Disney BFFs. This delightful medley featuring cherished Disney characters promises to be a highlight as we wrap up the summer’s performances at the Raquette Playhouse. We eagerly await the freshmen’s dazzling display of talent on stage tonight! They enjoyed a delicious BBQ lunch!
The sophomores had an action-packed day at the Enchanted Forest Water Safari, relishing both water and land rides under the sunny skies. They indulged in tasty treats at the park and made sure to visit the famous Paul Bunyon gift shop before heading back to camp.
The lower juniors went on a fun adventure with Shannon for their trip day! The upper juniors spent the day in Lake Placid and shopped around. The Starbucks was certainly a hit along with all the other delicious restaurants and desserts offered in the town.
Birchwood wrapped up their thrilling three-day Saranac trip today! After their adventurous journey, the camp gathered around for the annual Saranac campfire to hear their amusing and inspiring stories. They shared stories of their paddle, acknowledging that the trip was more than just a physical journey. It was an adventure of spirit, teamwork and resilience. The girls navigated the waters, and the unpredictable forces of nature. The evening was filled with awe for their strength,laughter and the enjoyment of s’mores, celebrating Birchwood’s tremendous achievement. Here’s to the new friendships forged, the stories shared, and the memories they created together.
SUPY enjoyed a great day in Old Forge, beginning with a tasty pizza lunch at Tony Harper’s Pizza & Clam Shack. They then made their way to the theater to watch a special early screening of Twisters.
