As we step into another exciting week at camp, we proudly recognized three bunks for their outstanding cleanliness and organization. At the flagpole ceremony, Pine, Duck Bay, and Spruce were honored with the Bunk of the Week award, along with their special Bunk of the Week bracelets. Congratulations to these bunks for setting such a great example!
The sophomores wrapped up two intense days of auditions yesterday. With the cast list now posted, they’ll be dedicating the rest of the week to rehearsing for Friday’s production of Aladdin! We’re eagerly looking forward to seeing their hard work and talent shine on stage!
For our evening activity, the entire girls’ camp gathered in the arena for this year’s Mini Sing, where our bunks sing a March that was written for Team Week in former years. These songs are more than just melodies; they are the heartfelt memories left behind by the SUPY girls of our past. SUPY has been diligently teaching each bunk a march, and last night, the girls had the opportunity to showcase what they’ve learned.Songs were sung from many different eras and stretched back as far as the early 70s, connecting us to the past campers. The night was beautiful and was filled with harmony, history and heart. We can’t wait to hear more from them at the Four Week Sing! A big shout-out to SUPY for their dedication in preparing the girls and for keeping Raquette’s musical traditions alive.
