Yesterday was the exhilarating finale of our all-camp Olympics, with the boys joining us at Girls Camp for a day packed with excitement and fun. The first day focused on age group events, but the second day was all about team collaboration in several all-team activities. The day kicked off with a thrilling yarn toss. Frosh had to locate their team’s colored yarn and hand it off to a sophomore, who then ran it to a junior or senior. They tied the yarn to their team’s line, creating long lines that stretched from the woods and back across the lower field!Following the yarn toss, teams competed in eight individual events, culminating in a lively Field Day. The final event was an eight-team bucket brigade, a perfect way to cool off and end a hot day on a high note. Afterward, we gathered in the Arena for the closing ceremonies. We awarded Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals, celebrating everyone’s hard work and team spirit. Then, we watched a highlight video showcasing the summer’s best moments so far, including clips from the first day of competition. Just as the video seemed to break, head staff adorned in yellow and purple burst into the arena, shooting off streamers to announce the much-anticipated start of Color War and Team Week. The excitement was off the charts as we transitioned from Olympics to this next thrilling chapter of camp. Both camps had their opening campfires after dinner. Here’s to an incredible week ahead filled with team spirit, friendly competition, and unforgettable memories!
