It was a beautiful Raquette Lake Boys Camp day. The weather was absolutely perfect for the boys to boom their way right into activities! They were busy at the water front completing their swim tests. They were out on the hobie cats sailing the beautiful lake & tubing the Raquette “waves.” They even got to test out our new ropes course which is truly a sight to see. It is like they never left getting right into the swing of things!
Last night was the opening camp fire one of our greatest traditions. The Aides had elections and presented the camp with their new chairman and president. Another one of our greatest traditions and honors is our jacket ceremony where we recognize and award the many boys who have been campers with us for 5 years and 8 years. We also awarded returning staff with 3 year, 10 year jackets, 20 year and could you believe it 30 year jackets! What a truly amazing milestone, the boys are lucky to have staff that have been part of our family for so long and can continue to make camp so great.
